In the early hours before dawn on 07/30/2009 a line of severe thunderstorms moved across the metroplex.
In the southern portion of the county a tornado warning was briefly
issued and there were reports of winds in excess of 60 mph.
I was at home during this event as the projected path of these storms
brought them directly over the house.
As dawn broke and the storms had passed I found that one of my trees
had been blown down by the strong winds.
Instead of standing in the front yard the majority of the tree was now
laying on my fence and part of my neighbors roof.
Cutting up downed tree before breakfast is always lots of fun.
